The Gauteng Film Commission (GFC) will facilitate a commission at Rapid Lion from the 5th to the 7th of March this year, on the formation of an Annual African Marketing and Distribution Forum.

The GFC will be planning and driving the content and methodology of the commission, which aims to be an inclusive process and give ownership to the industry of a first annual marketing and distribution forum.

A draft plan for the forum will be presented in three parts over three days, with opportunity for the industry members invited to the commission to give their input and suggestions, to be adopted into the forum.

The three days will be divided into three themes: Sweat, Brand Custodianship and Fund Raising.  Individuals, companies, organizations and government stakeholders will be able to commit to the forum and take responsibility for the various work and funding that needs to be done in order to launch and sustain such a forum.

At the end of the third and final day, the commission’s findings will be presented with the final draft of the Annual African Marketing and Distribution Forum proposal.
